I am a strong advocate of using textures layered over some of my images as an effective way to enhance an otherwise visually flat, or weak image. Here is an example of a recent work I created called: “Gerbera Daisy”. The bottom image is the finished work after I added a texture layer from Flypaper Textures, and 2 of my own custom watercolor textures  I think the results are sometimes quite striking and surprising. I recommend experimenting a lot – you never really know how a particular texture is going to affect your image. I am going to post some video tutorials soon about how to use these textures effectively to enhance almost any photograph. If you need some textures to work with, you can download my hand – painted watercolor textures directly from my website:

Happy Shooting!
